If you pay taxes in Arizona, you can donate to 123TaxCredit.Com and not only help a child, but you will receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit!
How does that work?
If you typically get a tax refund, you’ll get a bigger refund… and If you typically owe taxes, you’ll owe less. Our tax credit is different than a standard charitable contribution or deduction. A standard deduction only reduces your taxable income. Our tax credit directly reduces your state tax liability, or the tax amount you will pay.
For example, if your tax obligation is $750, and you make a $750 donation to 123, your tax liability will be reduced by $750. This means that your tax liability would be $0!
If you typically receive a tax refund, a tax credit increases your refund amount, or the money you will receive back from the state of Arizona.
This tax credit may also save you money on your federal taxes. Please consult your accountant or tax preparation specialist to verify.
It is a Win-Win! It is to our advantage for you to donate because we can help children. It is to your advantage to participate in this program because it is possible for you to save money on your taxes!
Don’t forget! You can make a donation up until April 15th (your donation must be made prior to filing your taxes. Regardless if you are filing extension your donation will still need to be made by April 15). Then you can claim this tax credit for the previous tax year!
Not only will our tax credit save you money we will use your funds to assist a child attend a private school of their choice. Many other Arizona based tax credit organizations dictate Partner Schools, or limit the schools they will work with based on religion or other hurdles. 123TaxCredit.Com does not agree with this practice. We believe that more choices are a good thing.
When you make a donation to 123, you can identify a specific private school, or even recommend a specific student to receive a scholarship! (as long as they are not your own child).
NOTICE: A school tuition organization cannot award, restrict, or reserve scholarships solely on the basis of a donor’s recommendation. A taxpayer may not claim a tax credit if the taxpayer agrees to swap donations with another taxpayer to benefit either taxpayer’s own dependent. A.R.S. 43-1603 (C).
